About The Buck Haven Lodge

Buck Haven Lodge – 6 acres of private land, located one mere mile from Benezette

Located only one mile from the town of Benezette, Buck Haven Lodge is a cabin that offers close proximity to Elk Country’s best attractions, but also boasts 6 private acres of wooded land for tenants to enjoy.  Elk routinely move through the old-growth hemlock and pine, with masses of native ferns coloring the forest floor.
The newly renovated Buck Haven Lodge has two bedrooms, a full bath, a fully-stocked kitchen, and a cozy living room complete with a propane fire place.  Whether you are interested in elk viewing, fishing, hunting, hiking or just experiencing the beauty of the Pennsylvania mountains, Buck Haven Lodge offers both convenience of location and enough privacy to enjoy your getaway.
The living area boasts a spacious, open floor plan.  The kitchen has large appliances including a full-sized refrigerator, propane stove and oven, and microwave.  Small appliances such as a coffee pot and toaster are available, as well as a generous number of other items to ensure you have everything you need to prepare and enjoy a meal, such as pots, pans, bakeware, serving utensils, plates, cups, eating utensils, etc.  The living room has enough seating for everyone with a couch (which is a sleeper sofa that can accommodate extra guests), loveseat and a recliner.  For those chilly nights in the mountains, guests can enjoy the propane fireplace.  There is a flat-screen television with Dish Network and WiFi, as well.
There is a spacious, full bathroom with a commode, sink, and bathtub/shower combination.  There are two bedrooms, each bedroom has a window looking out at the woods behind the cabin, a queen-sized bed and generous closet.
For those looking to relax by a campfire and enjoy the mountain air, there is a custom-made fire ring with swinging grates for cooking over the fire.  There are also two Adirondack chairs at the front side of the cabin for guests to relax in while enjoying mountain views.

Buck Haven Lodge Reviews

I highly recommend this little place!
We stayed for Memorial Day Weekend at Buck Haven Lodge and enjoyed our stay very much. The place was clean, conveniently located and just right for us. There are other camps close by, but it is secluded enough to enjoy peace and quiet if you don’t want to be neighborly. The inside of the cabin was beautifully furnished and comfortable The fully stocked kitchen, picnic table outside, and nice firepit were just a few of our favorite features. I can’t say enough good things about the hosts. They were very responsive and did everything within their power to ensure our stay was enjoyable. I highly recommend this little place!

What a wonderful experience!! This cabin was perfect for our needs and we especially loved the location. We did a day trip to Ridgway. We had an amazing experience at the Elk Mountain Winery. CHECK IT OUT!! We saw lots of Elk throughout the weekend. The owners, Bryan and Jenn, are great to work with. We just felt at home here. This cabin is perfect for couples, families, or fun getaways with friends. I would recommend this place to everyone! It’s sure to please. We can’t wait to come back. Hopefully Soon!!!”

We had everything we needed and we very comfortable. We enjoy coming to PA to photograph the elk. There were elk in the yard when we arrived and we discovered they bed down during the day close to the house. The area is great to see and photograph elk. We look forward to returning in the future.

Had a lovely time staying at Buck Haven Lodge. The cabin was the perfect size for the two of us and was clean and cozy. It is conveniently located close to the heart of Benezette and was an easy drive to see the elk. We would love to come back and stay next year!

This place was wonderful! The cabin was clean the kitchen was a full functional kitchen, we were able to make all of our meals no problem, great shower head in the shower! The beds were SO comfortable even the sleeper sofa YES was comfy and the fireplace added a great cozy touch to everything. Each morning and evening we saw elk in the yard it was great! They actually frequent the woods a lot, (I found this out on a little nature hike and they were laying down in the trees) The fire ring was beautiful and added that special touch each evening for s’mores and chit chat. If your looking for a nice place to stay this is it! I am defiantly going back!
